Privacy

The short version: your shed design stays on your device. We do not ask who you are, and this version of the site sets no tracking cookies.

Who we are

The Shed Planner (theshedplanner.com) is operated by Westernmost LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, 32 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, which is responsible for this site and for this policy. "We" and "us" on this page mean Westernmost LLC.

What we collect

The Shed Planner does not have user accounts and does not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details to use the designer, the free plans or the guides.

The sizes and options you enter in the shed designer are processed by code running in your own browser. They are not sent to us unless you buy a builder's plan (see below). When you share or bookmark a design, the settings are stored in the page address (the part after the question mark), so anyone you send the link to can open the same design.

The free summary PDF from the designer, and the PDF for each of the free preset plans, are generated on your device and saved where you choose. We never receive a copy.

If you buy a builder's plan

Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as our payment processor. You enter your card and contact details on Stripe's checkout page, not on ours, and we never see or store your card number. Stripe handles that data under its own privacy policy, including to prevent fraud.

To make your plan, your design settings (sizes, roof and openings) are sent to our server and stored with your payment record at Stripe. Each time you open the download link, our server reads the design from that record, generates the PDF and sends it to you; we do not keep a copy of the PDF or of the design on our own servers. From Stripe we receive the email address, name and country you give at checkout, the amount paid and the payment status. We use them to deliver your plan, to answer you, to honor our guarantee and refunds, and to keep the accounting and tax records the law requires. We do not use them for marketing and we do not sell them.

Cookies and analytics

This version of the site does not use analytics tools, advertising cookies or social media trackers. If that changes, for example if we add privacy-friendly visitor statistics, we will update this page before it goes live and describe exactly what is collected.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical information about each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. That processing is covered by Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

Fonts are hosted on our own domain, so loading a page does not send requests to third-party font services.

If you email us

If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to reply and to fix what you report, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

Guides may link to other websites, such as building departments. Their privacy practices are their own; check them when you visit.
